Retail Accountant

Overview

Associates work directly with store locations to ensure cash and inventory data is entered accurately and supported with the proper documentation. This role also coordinates with financial accountants to reconcile general ledger accounts tied to store activity.

Responsibilities

• Verify and analyze data received from store level and make necessary corrections in PDI
• Assist Store Managers and District Managers with questions related to information received from store level and any required corrections
• Perform data entry
• Create and maintain Excel worksheets
• Assist with reconciling data files
• Support account reconciliations
• Handle other job-related responsibilities as they arise

• Good mathematical skills
• Basic computer skills (Word and Excel)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good analytical skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to reason
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to interact professionally at all levels
• Dependability
• Self-motivated
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred but not required
• PDI experience a plus
• Occasional overtime
