Senior Accountant

Overview

A leading organization in the cryptocurrency industry is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their Global Finance Team. This role is integral to implementing advanced accounting principles within a fast-evolving crypto environment, supporting the mission to promote financial freedom and global crypto adoption.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end general accruals and collaborate with Accounts Payable, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Treasury teams on accruals and related system integrations
• Execute month-end close processes including journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliation, and inter-company activity reconciliation
• Perform commission accruals and reconciliation, working closely with business group liaisons to ensure accuracy
• Conduct financial statement flux analysis at the entity level for subsidiaries, including drafting trend and variance analysis reports
• Prepare audit schedules and provide ad hoc audit support
• Collaborate with the foreign exchange team to drive system integrations and optimizations
• Maintain a proactive, open-minded approach and adapt to rapidly changing priorities

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Accounting with at least 4 years of relevant experience
• Preferably some audit experience
• Background in accounting for financial services, fintech, banking, or exchanges is strongly preferred
• Experience with accounting for complex business entities, especially parent organizations with multiple subsidiaries
• Strong collaboration, innovation, flexibility, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, SUMIF)
• Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office suites
• Familiarity with SOX compliance
• Experience working with NetSuite ERP system

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of cryptocurrency is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $63,000 - $126,000

Location

• This is a fully remote position with team members located globally
