  • Prepare clean monthly P&Ls, balance sheets, and supporting schedules by brand and consolidated, including workpapers diligence teams request.
  • Reconcile operating accounts, payroll accounts, and credit card accounts; catch up behind months; keep each brand closed and reconciled monthly.
  • Perform three-way reconciliations of owner trust and guest deposit accounts; resolve shortages, overages, and commingling; escalate items with regulatory exposure.
  • Ensure trust accounting meets state real estate and vacation rental rules in each market; tie owner statements and payouts back to trust balances.
  • Map each brand’s chart of accounts to the company’s standard and align accounting policies across brands.
  • Prepare clean data for migration into NetSuite.
  • Tie PMS data (Guesty, Track, Streamline) to the general ledger.
  • Write repeatable month-end close checklists and reconciliation procedures.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of accounting experience, including hands-on cleanup or catch-up bookkeeping.
  • Strong command of bank reconciliations and month-end close.
  • Experience with trust or escrow accounting, ideally in property management, real estate, or vacation rentals.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation workpapers).
  • Ability to work across several entities at once.
  • Strong written English.
  • Availability to overlap with U.S. Eastern Time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or progress toward licensure.
  • Experience supporting a QoE review, audit, or M&A due diligence.
  • NetSuite experience, especially multi-subsidiary setups or data migrations.
  • Familiarity with short-term rental PMS platforms, owner statements, or consolidating acquired companies onto a standard chart of accounts.

Compensation & Benefits

  • USD $1,800–$2,500 per month (depending on experience).
