Senior Accountant

Overview

The organization is seeking a Senior Accountant for a fully-remote role within the finance department, supporting multiple senior living facilities throughout the United States.

Compensation: $80K to $100K annually, based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external parties.
• Prepare financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for several facilities.
• Provide trend variances, budget variances, and explanations for discrepancies.
• Review monthly financials with Healthcare Management.
• Determine methods for reducing costs with operations.
• Collaborate with external auditors, providing required documentation and explanations during the audit process.
• Assist the Director of Risk Management with insurance reporting and the annual renewal process.
• Create monthly and ad hoc analyses.
• Perform related duties as assigned (this is a brief overview and not intended to be all inclusive).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in the healthcare industry.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented and organized.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience working within a Skilled Nursing facility.
• Experience working in a multi-facility finance department, including filing external reporting to banks and SEC (preferred).
• CPA preferred.
