Overview

This role creates new, defensible ways to answer important business questions. The Senior Analyst, Strategic Analytics turns ambiguous questions into analytical methods, working models, and clear recommendations, then makes successful approaches repeatable, scalable, and useful in leadership decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Build decision-ready analytical capabilities for questions that existing reports and models cannot answer, from problem framing and hypothesis development through modeling, validation, recommendation, and implementation.
  • Improve leadership’s forward visibility by developing measures, models, and leading indicators that identify business drivers, emerging risks, and opportunities across enterprise priorities.
  • Turn successful analyses into durable capabilities by establishing required methodology, data logic, models, reporting, controls, documentation, refresh processes, and ongoing ownership.
  • Increase the speed and scalability of analytics by simplifying high-value workflows, automating repeatable work, and creating reusable methods that shift capacity from data assembly to interpretation and action.
  • Influence decisions and strengthen analytical quality by presenting clear insights and recommendations to senior leaders, and advising colleagues on complex methodological questions while preserving established ownership.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in strategic, business, enterprise, commercial, operational, financial, or transformation analytics, including independent ownership of ambiguous analytical problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. A master’s degree, MBA, or technical graduate degree is a plus, but demonstrated analytical problem-solving and impact matter more than a specific credential.
  • Advanced hands-on analytical skills, including Excel, and proficiency in SQL and/or Python.
  • Experience working with CRM data, enterprise data warehouses, business data models, and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and disciplined analytical thinking, including the ability to look beyond available reports and conventional measures to develop hypotheses, connect disparate evidence, challenge assumptions, and invent practical approaches to unfamiliar questions.
  • Strong business judgment and communication skills, including the ability to connect operational, commercial, financial, and external evidence; translate complex analysis into clear insights, implications, and recommendations; and facilitate productive discussions with senior leaders.
  • Ability to balance rigor with business pace; work independently; distinguish evidence from assumptions; surface uncertainty and risk early; and move an analytical capability from initial idea through implementation and outcome measurement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in complex B2B, technology, services, distribution, sales-led, or enterprise-transformation environments.
  • Experience using AI and automation to improve analytical exploration, coding, modeling, validation, documentation, or repeatability.
