Overview

The Sr Credit Analyst plays a key role in evaluating customer credit profiles and managing financial risk while supporting business growth opportunities. This position involves processing and reviewing new credit applications, managing complex accounts, and mentoring junior analysts. The role requires collaboration with both customers and internal teams to ensure credit decisions align with organizational guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Review credit applications by obtaining credit reports, trade references, and financial statements to make informed credit decisions with limited oversight.
  • Evaluate existing customer credit files by analyzing financial statements, account history, competitor data, and other relevant information to facilitate credit term adjustments such as personal guaranties and letters of credit.
  • Communicate directly with customers to understand their business, request necessary information, negotiate terms, and provide credit options.
  • Collaborate with internal teams by sharing credit review outcomes and offering guidance to support their efforts.
  • Review custom orders to determine deposits and terms, maintaining accurate records in the custom order log.
  • Monitor and report on specific customers and customer segments.
  • Maintain accurate customer account information in company databases.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies and standards.

Requirements

  • 7-9 years of related credit or accounts receivable experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred experience managing credit portfolios within the B2B sector.
  • Expertise in financial analysis, risk management, and decision-making aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis as part of credit evaluation.
  • High competency with computer and software applications.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate diplomatically and tactfully.
  • Willingness and ability to learn continuously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Approachable and flexible, able to adapt quickly and positively to changing directions.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Salary Range:
    • $32.56 - $43.27 (WA, NJ)
    • $29.79 - $39.59 (MN, NV, TX, VA)
    • $28.65 - $38.08 (AZ, ID, FL, MT, OH)
  • Eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.

Location & Work Environment

  • Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.
  • The role is primarily remote with periodic travel as required.
  • The position involves extended periods of sitting and computer work, frequent use of hands for keyboarding, and occasional standing, walking, and reaching.
  • Ability to perform close visual work on a computer for extended periods is required.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 10–15 pounds may be necessary.
