Senior Director, Product Finance

Overview

The organization is seeking a Senior Director of Product Finance to serve as a strategic finance partner to the Product organization. This role partners closely with senior finance and product leadership to help evaluate, prioritize, and invest in new product lines as the business scales.

Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Finance, the role works closely with the CFO, Chief Product Officer and product leadership team, and the Head of FP&A. Responsibilities include developing business cases, building financial frameworks, and providing analytical support to enable confident product decisions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an embedded strategic finance partner to the Chief Product Officer and product leadership team.
• Own financial evaluation for new product lines and launches from concept through post-launch.
  • Build business cases, unit-economics models, pricing frameworks, and revenue projections to support leadership decision-making.
• Support financial planning for the Product organization, including:
  • Annual planning
  • Quarterly forecasting
  • Long-range modeling
  • Advise on investment trade-offs and resource allocation across the product portfolio.
• Drive scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and market sizing to pressure-test assumptions and support capital allocation discussions with leadership.
• Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis to inform product investment theses.
  • Partner with corporate development and strategic finance on M&A diligence or new market entries that intersect with the product roadmap.
• Prepare and present financial narratives that clearly communicate product strategy.
• Develop financial performance dashboards and executive reporting for new and emerging product lines.
  • Lead variance analysis with clear, actionable commentary for senior leadership.
• Build and scale the Product Finance function.
  • Establish repeatable financial processes and frameworks so product teams can access insights more quickly and easily.

Requirements

• 13+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or management consulting.
• Demonstrated track record as an embedded finance business partner with experience influencing roadmap and investment decisions at the C-suite level.
• Experience building financial models and business cases for new product launches, including 0→1 products and new market entries.
  • Strong command of unit economics, revenue modeling, and scenario analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to distill complex financial analysis into clear, actionable narratives for both financial and non-financial audiences, including executive presentations.
• “Roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset: comfortable building models independently as well as presenting them to the CFO or Chief Product Officer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in digital assets, payments, fintech or tech.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay is determined by factors including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.
• Base Pay Range: $227,500 - $280,833
