Overview

The organization is seeking a Senior Director of Product Finance to serve as a strategic finance partner to the Product organization. This role sits at the intersection of finance and product and will shape how new product lines are evaluated, prioritized, and invested in as the business scales.

Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Finance, the role works closely with the CFO, Chief Product Officer and product leadership team, and the Head of FP&A.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an embedded strategic finance partner to the Chief Product Officer and the product leadership team.
  • Own the financial evaluation of new product lines and launches from concept through post-launch, including:
    • Building business cases, unit-economics models, pricing frameworks, and revenue projections
    • Partnering with product leadership and strategic finance to enable confident leadership decisions
  • Support financial planning for the Product organization, including:
    • Annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and long-range modeling
    • Advising on investment trade-offs and resource allocation across the product portfolio
  • Drive scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and market sizing to pressure-test assumptions and support capital allocation discussions.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis to inform product investment theses.
  • Partner with corporate development and strategic finance on M&A diligence or new market entries that intersect with the product roadmap.
  • Prepare and present financial narratives that communicate product strategy with clarity.
  • Develop financial performance dashboards and executive reporting for new and emerging product lines, including variance analysis with actionable commentary for senior leadership.
  • Build and scale the Product Finance function by establishing repeatable processes and frameworks that make it easier for product teams to access insights.

Requirements

  • 13+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Proven experience as an embedded finance business partner, influencing roadmap and investment decisions at the C-suite level.
  • Strong capability building financial models and business cases for new product launches, including 0→1 products and new market entries, with a solid command of:
    • Unit economics
    • Revenue modeling
    • Scenario analysis
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to distill complex financial analysis into clear, actionable narratives for both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • A hands-on mindset—comfortable building models independently and presenting them to the CFO and Chief Product Officer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in digital assets, payments, fintech, or tech.
