Overview

The organization is seeking a Senior Director of Product Finance to serve as a strategic finance partner to the Product organization. This role sits at the intersection of finance and product and will help shape how new product lines are evaluated, prioritized, and invested in as the organization scales.

Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Finance, the Senior Director will work closely with the CFO, Chief Product Officer and product leadership team, and the Head of FP&A. The role is a key finance voice within the product organization, including ownership of business cases, financial frameworks, and analytical support for product decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an embedded strategic finance partner to the Chief Product Officer and product leadership team.
  • Own financial evaluation of new product lines and launches from concept through post-launch, including partnering to build business cases, unit-economics models, pricing frameworks, and revenue projections.
  • Support product organization financial planning, including annual plan, quarterly forecasting, and long-range modeling; advise on investment trade-offs and resource allocation across the product portfolio.
  • Drive scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and market sizing to pressure-test assumptions and support capital allocation discussions.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis to inform product investment theses.
  • Partner with corporate development and strategic finance on M&A diligence or new market entries that intersect with the product roadmap.
  • Prepare and present compelling financial narratives that clearly communicate product strategy.
  • Develop financial performance dashboards and executive reporting for new and emerging product lines; lead variance analysis with clear, actionable commentary for senior leadership.
  • Build and scale the Product Finance function by establishing repeatable financial processes and frameworks that make it easier for product teams to access insights.

Requirements

  • 13+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Demonstrated track record as an embedded finance business partner influencing roadmap and investment decisions at the C-suite level.
  • Experience building financial models and business cases for new product launches (including 0→1 products) and new market entries; strong command of unit economics, revenue modeling, and scenario analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear, actionable narratives for both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Strong “roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset—comfortable building models personally while also presenting to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in digital assets, payments, fintech, or tech.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay Range: $227,500 - $280,833
  • Starting pay is determined by factors including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.
