Senior Director, Product Finance

Overview

The organization is seeking a Senior Director of Product Finance to serve as the strategic finance partner to the Product organization. This role partners closely with product leadership and finance leadership to shape how new product lines are evaluated, prioritized, and funded as the organization scales.

Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Finance, this position works in close partnership with the CFO, Chief Product Officer, product leadership team, and Head of FP&A. Responsibilities include developing business cases, building financial frameworks, and providing analytical support for product decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an embedded strategic finance partner to the Chief Product Officer and the product leadership team.
• Own financial evaluation of new product lines and launches from concept through post-launch, including:
  • Building business cases
  • Developing unit-economics models
  • Creating pricing frameworks
  • Producing revenue projections to support leadership decisions
• Support Product organization financial planning, including annual plan, quarterly forecasting, and long-range modeling; advise on investment trade-offs and resource allocation across the product portfolio.
• Drive scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and market sizing to pressure-test assumptions and support capital allocation discussions.
• Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis to inform product investment theses.
• Partner with corporate development and strategic finance on M&A diligence or new market entries that intersect with the product roadmap.
• Prepare and present financial narratives that translate product strategy into clear, financially grounded messaging.
• Develop financial performance dashboards and executive reporting for new and emerging product lines; lead variance analysis with clear, actionable commentary for senior leadership.
• Build and scale the Product Finance function by establishing repeatable financial processes and frameworks that improve access to insights for product teams.

Requirements

• 13+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or management consulting.
• Demonstrated track record as an embedded finance business partner, influencing roadmap and investment decisions at the C-suite level.
• Experience building financial models and business cases for new product launches (including 0→1 products) and new market entries.
• Strong command of unit economics, revenue modeling, and scenario analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to distill complex financial analysis into clear, actionable narratives for both financial and non-financial audiences, including executive presentations.
• “Roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset—comfortable building models directly as well as presenting recommendations to the CFO and Chief Product Officer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in digital assets, payments, fintech, or tech.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Pay Range: $227,500 - $280,833

Starting pay is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.
