Overview

A growing organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Product Finance team. This individual contributor role involves partnering closely with product managers and leaders to provide financial insights that support data-driven product investment decisions. The analyst will be responsible for building and maintaining product KPI reporting, supporting annual planning, and developing business cases for new features and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a proactive financial partner to product managers and product leaders, translating financial data into actionable insights.
  • Build, maintain, and improve reporting on key product KPIs such as adoption, retention, monetization, and unit economics.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business cases for new product launches, feature investments, and pricing initiatives.
  • Support the annual planning process for the product organization, including budget tracking, variance analysis, and headcount planning.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate recurring reporting and analysis to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, equity research, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong financial modeling skills using Excel or Google Sheets, capable of building and maintaining moderately complex models.
  • Analytical mindset with strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, able to structure ambiguous problems into clear frameworks.
  • Collaborative and detail-oriented with a proactive approach and a track record of building trust across teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to clearly explain financial concepts and analysis to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and organized with a strong sense of ownership over multiple deliverables and priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a software or payments company.
  • Experience with credit and/or fraud loss modeling is particularly valued.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges vary by geographic location and candidate experience:

  • Zone 1 (San Francisco Bay Area CA, New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles County): $104,800—$131,040 USD
  • Zone 2 (CA outside SF Bay Area and LA County, Austin TX, Massachusetts): $94,300—$117,900 USD
  • Zone 3 (Utah, Dallas TX, Houston TX, Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, Colorado, Arizona, Georgia, Oregon, Pennsylvania): $89,100—$111,400 USD
