Overview
A national Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales agency specializing in snack and confectionary categories is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. This remote position requires candidates to be located in the East or Central Time Zone of the United States.
Responsibilities
- Compile and distribute monthly financial reports for both external and internal stakeholders
- Create and maintain financial dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with channel leaders to identify sales opportunities and coverage gaps
- Assist in preparing semi-annual budget models
- Investigate income and expense variances relative to budget
- Work with the Accounting Department on commission statement research and analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Perform various ad hoc reporting and financial analyses as needed
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related role
- Experience working with large data sets and financial reporting tools
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI
- Familiarity with financial systems and ERP tools is a plus
- Experience in financial budgeting, reporting, modeling, and analysis
- Ability to interpret and clearly communicate financial data
- High level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in a CPG broker, sales agency, food products, or manufacturing environment is desirable
