Overview

A fast-growing Series C tech-enabled service company in the distributed solar and energy storage industries is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with the VP of Finance. This role involves driving planning, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, owning key components of the corporate financial model, supporting executive decision-making, and improving business performance measurement and management.

Responsibilities

  • Own the corporate financial model and integrated Profit & Loss (P&L) statement.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and Operating Expenses (OpEx).
  • Analyze financial performance and explain key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and business leaders to ensure accurate reporting and support decision-making.
  • Prepare reporting and analysis for executive leadership, Board meetings, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Support strategic initiatives through scenario planning and ad hoc analysis.
  • Drive resolution of issues and continuously improve Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes and tools.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance.
  • Experience with corporate planning, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with a high degree of ownership.
  • Experience with ERP and planning systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce.
  • Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with large, imperfect datasets and resolve discrepancies.
  • Skilled at moving between detailed analysis and clear communication.
  • Curious about operational drivers and focused on understanding the reasons behind results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in renewable energy, SaaS, or field services industries.
  • Experience supporting executive or Board-level reporting.
  • Exposure to performance-based revenue models or guarantee liabilities.
