Overview

This role is a Senior Financial Analyst specializing in SaaS retention, working remotely within the US. The position focuses on financial forecasting, retention analysis, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making in a subscription-based business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end renewal forecasting process, including architecting and validating forecast models for churn, renewal rates, and retention outcomes.
  • Provide forward-looking analysis to inform financial planning and strategic decisions.
  • Analyze retention metrics and trends for designated SaaS product lines.
  • Deliver timely, actionable insights to Retention Analytics and Customer Retention Leaders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across teams and management levels.
  • Manage weekly pacing updates and monthly/quarterly retention reviews.
  • Conduct deep-dive variance analysis to identify root causes behind retention performance versus targets.
  • Proactively deliver recommendations that influence business strategies.
  • Reconcile retention data on a weekly/monthly basis and manage manual data adjustments.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all reporting.
  • Navigate large, complex data sets and company databases to extract meaningful findings and optimize analytics workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in FP&A or similar financial analysis roles within SaaS or subscription-based business models.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS KPIs and metrics.
  • Expert-level financial modeling and data manipulation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and manage a high workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with abstract concepts and fragmented data to create actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively within teams and across departments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary range: $98,000 to $151,000 (full-time equivalent).
  • Compensation will be determined based on location, experience, and comparable employee pay.
