Overview
This role is for a Senior Analyst who will serve as an embedded finance partner, owning a functional area end to end. You will work closely with business leaders as the primary finance contact—understanding their operating model, building and owning the models that support headcount and spend decisions, and running a monthly business review rhythm.
The organization will assign you to one of its functional areas based on your strengths and where the business needs the most support, which may include support, G&A, or go-to-market.
Responsibilities
- Own the operating and capacity model for your assigned area, including how headcount and spend scale with business drivers.
- Manage forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for your functions, including the narrative explaining variances.
- Conduct monthly business reviews with functional leaders: what happened, why it happened, and what it means for the remainder of the year.
- Lead vendor and operating expense reviews, identifying where leverage exists and where it does not.
- Provide decision support between planning cycles, including business cases and scenario analysis.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Approximately 2 to 5 years in FP&A, business finance, consulting, banking, or a comparable analytical role. Years of experience may be flexible if the candidate’s experience matches the substance of the role.
- Strong financial modeling skills and analytical judgment to identify when an answer is incorrect.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with functional leaders.
- Experience taking ambiguous situations and owning outcomes without close supervision.
- A work style focused on automating repeatable tasks.
- Familiarity with AI tools, BI tools, SQL, or planning systems is a plus. Support will be provided to build capabilities if you have the instinct but have not used the tools.
- Meaningful overlap with Pacific time (team is on the West Coast).
- Open to occasional travel for team and company onsite visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across go-to-market finance, corporate finance, or functional business partnering.
- Demonstrated ability to translate an operating model into analysis that leaders will act on.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay depends on job-related factors including location, market demands, experience, and relevant knowledge/skills.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, and PTO.
- For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, or Washington: base salary hiring range is $110,000 to $140,000 per year plus an equity grant.
