Overview

This role is for a Senior Analyst to serve as an embedded finance partner, owning a functional area end to end. You will work closely with business leaders, understand their operating model, build and own the models that inform headcount and spend decisions, and run a consistent monthly business review rhythm.

The assigned functional area may include support, G&A, or go-to-market. Prior experience in a specific function is not required; success depends on the ability to learn how the business operates and translate that into analysis leaders can act on.

Responsibilities

  • Own the operating and capacity model for your assigned area, including how headcount and spend scale with business drivers.
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for your functions, including producing narratives that explain variances.
  • Conduct a monthly business review with functional leaders (what happened, why, and implications for the remainder of the year).
  • Perform vendor and operating expense reviews to identify where leverage exists and where it does not.
  • Provide decision support between planning cycles, including business cases and scenario work.
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Approximately 2 to 5 years in FP&A, business finance, consulting, banking, or a comparable analytical role (years are flexible if the experience matches the substance of the role).
  • Strong financial modeling skills and analytical judgment to validate conclusions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently partner directly with functional leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of ambiguous problems without close management.
  • A working style that emphasizes automating repeatable parts of the job.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, BI tools, SQL, or planning systems is a plus (support will be provided to build these capabilities if needed).
  • Meaningful overlap with Pacific time (team is West Coast).
  • Open to occasional travel for team and company onsite events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI tools, BI tools, SQL, or planning systems.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay depends on job-related factors, including location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, and PTO.
  • Base salary hiring range (plus an equity grant):
    • For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, or Washington: $110,000 to $140,000 per year.
    • For roles based in New York: $110,000 to $140,000 per year.

Location

  • Remote working from home is flexible for candidates located in the USA and residing in one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, ME, MA, MD, NJ, NC, NY, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, & WA.
  • Due to operational policies, Chicago city limits are not eligible for hiring for this role. Qualified candidates who reside outside of the city proper or are willing to self-relocate will be considered.

Additional Information

  • This position is NOT eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • Work model: full-time hybrid remote.
  • PTO: unlimited PTO.
  • Equal opportunity employer: employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable law.
