This role is ideal for candidates located in the Dublin / Columbus, Ohio metro area. Remote candidates based in the Central, Midwest, or Eastern US regions are also considered, provided they can travel to the Dublin, Ohio office quarterly.
The Global Tax Planning Senior Analyst is a key position within the Finance organization, specifically in the Tax Planning & Controversy department. Reporting to a Manager of Global Tax Planning & M&A, this role supports the development and execution of global tax strategies, analyzes tax implications of business changes and restructurings, assesses impacts of global tax law changes, and supports merger and acquisition (M&A) activities.
Responsibilities
- Drive analysis and implementation of global tax planning initiatives
- Research and analyze U.S. and non-U.S. tax laws, regulations, and tax treaties; communicate findings both in writing and verbally to technical and non-technical audiences
- Prepare tax analyses including pros and cons and cost/benefit evaluations
- Prepare and review step plans and tax technical memoranda
- Communicate impacts and risks to Managers, Directors of Tax Planning and M&A, and broader management
- Assist with workstreams related to potential mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions
- Collaborate with Treasury, Legal, Accounting, and Core Business teams to implement tax planning initiatives
- Coordinate with Tax Provision and Compliance teams regarding transactions affecting tax returns and tax provision calculations; document research for tax files
- Support the Tax Controversy team with information related to tax planning initiatives as needed
- Research, analyze, and document changes to key legislation impacting the organization (e.g., tax reform)
- Coordinate and supervise external resources assisting with tax planning projects
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of global tax experience, or 2+ years of international tax experience at a law firm or Big Four public accounting firm preferred
- Experience in a large multinational corporate tax department and/or Big Four accounting firm highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; MST and/or Law degree preferred
- CPA preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and international tax rules, including U.S. tax reform and associated treasury regulations; basic understanding of foreign tax rules highly desired
- Working knowledge of transfer pricing concepts preferred
- Working knowledge of ASC 740 preferred
- Advanced computer skills or ability to quickly learn new software (tax research tools, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred
- Ability to model tax impacts of planning and M&A initiatives and U.S. tax reform impacts preferred
- Project management skills and tax planning experience, including ability to manage multiple projects concurrently preferred

Compensation & Benefits
- Anticipated salary range: $80,900 - $103,950
