Senior IT & Enterprise Applications Leader | Dynamics 365 Functional Finance SME | ERP

Overview

This is project consulting work for a large-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance transformation initiative.

The organization is seeking a highly experienced D365 Functional Expert – Finance & Accounting to serve as the lead functional subject matter expert. You will partner with finance, accounting, operations, and technology stakeholders to design, configure, and optimize D365 Finance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead D365 Finance functional design, configuration, and deployment activities throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements, identify process improvements, and develop future-state solutions.
• Configure and optimize D365 Finance modules, including:
  • General Ledger
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Fixed Assets
  • Cash & Bank Management
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Project Accounting
  • Expense Management
  • Tax
  • Financial Reporting and Consolidations
• Conduct fit-gap assessments and develop functional specifications, process flows, testing plans, and training materials.
• Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, data migration, reporting, workflows, security, and customizations.
• Lead system testing efforts, including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Support data conversion activities, including mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and sign-off.
• Deliver end-user training and drive adoption across accounting and finance teams.
• Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in finance systems, accounting operations, ERP transformation, or related functional leadership roles.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and/or Dynamics AX.
• Proven experience leading multiple full lifecycle D365 implementations.
• Strong accounting and finance background with expertise in:
  • Financial Close
  • General Ledger
  • AP & AR
  • Fixed Assets
  • Consolidations
  • Financial Reporting
  • Internal Controls
  • Audit Support
• Experience partnering with business and technical teams to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.
• Strong requirements gathering, process design, documentation, and training experience.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA and/or MBA
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certifications
• Experience supporting multi-entity, multi-currency, and global environments
• Experience with BlackLine, Alteryx, Salesforce, and/or ADP
• Prior consulting experience
• Experience supporting finance transformation, shared services, or process standardization initiatives

Compensation & Benefits

• $85–90/hr
• Compensation commensurate with qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.
