Overview

A financial services organization is seeking a Senior Manager to join their Strategic Finance team supporting the growth of their point-of-sale (POS) merchant business. This role involves partnering with leaders across Sales, Client Success, Strategic Partnerships, and Product to drive business outcomes through strategic and analytical support. The position is part of the Revenue Finance group, focusing on planning, forecasting, and performance management to enable efficient and profitable scaling of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to Product, Growth Analytics, Credit, Revenue, and Merchant Pricing teams, influencing product strategy, investment decisions, and go-to-market execution.
  • Lead and scale a high-performing team, aligning priorities with company objectives and fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Own and evolve merchant growth forecasting, translating insights into actionable strategies and business recommendations.
  • Lead top-line planning processes including target setting, forecasting, and performance tracking; deliver clear reporting and insights to executives and senior leadership.
  • Build and scale automated dashboards, reporting, and analytical frameworks to improve organizational visibility and decision-making.
  • Identify key performance drivers, surface risks and opportunities, and drive accountability against business goals.
  • Synthesize complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives to inform strategic decisions and align cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in analytical roles such as strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, or analytics with demonstrated impact on business outcomes and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to operate with ownership and influence in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior people management experience with a player–coach mindset, leading and developing analysts while remaining hands-on in complex, high-impact analyses.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to connect detailed analyses to broader strategic context and executive-level decisions.
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions across cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in financial modeling; working knowledge of SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma or similar) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with lending or buy now pay later business models and metrics.
  • Experience leveraging AI-driven tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to enhance analytical workflows and insight generation.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay grade: O
  • Equity grade: 10
  • Base salary range for U.S. employees:
    • California, Washington, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut: $220,000 - $280,000 per year
    • All other U.S. states: $195,000 - $255,000 per year
  • Total compensation package may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology spending, and benefits.
