Overview
This role supports pharmaceutical, biotech companies, and clinical research organizations by providing advanced financial leadership and strategic support to complex, high-impact client projects. The focus is on accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and risk management across assigned projects while acting as a trusted finance partner to Operations, Accounting, and senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial management for complex and/or high-value client projects, including project setup in ERP, monthly close, forecasting, risk reviews, and billing support.
- Serve as a senior finance partner and primary point of contact for internal stakeholders across Operations, Accounting, and Commercial teams.
- Provide advanced financial and strategic analysis to support operational effectiveness and business objectives.
- Develop and review complex financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, pricing, and profitability decisions.
- Monitor project and portfolio performance, assess trends, and proactively recommend actions to improve margins and mitigate risk.
- Prepare and present financial insights, variance analysis, and executive-level reporting for senior management.
- Identify, assess, and communicate project-level and portfolio-level financial risks that may impact company performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to financial controls, reporting processes, and operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance, training, and informal mentorship to analysts as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support audits, system enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, operations finance, or project-based financial analysis.
- Demonstrated experience with complex project costing, forecasting, and budgeting within an ERP environment.
- Experience supporting operational leaders and interacting with senior management preferred.

- Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- High level of proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems and reporting tools strongly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to non-finance audiences.
