Overview
An organization in the customer experience intelligence industry is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant. The company develops a cloud platform enhanced with AI-driven analytics to transform customer sentiment data into actionable insights, helping businesses improve customer engagement and interaction quality.
Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze financial data to prepare journal entries and document accounting processes
- Analyze monthly revenue streams for accuracy and completeness
- Perform reconciliations of unbilled accruals, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable
- Review contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
- Assist in preparing revenue reporting packages and related disclosures
- Develop processes and procedures for revenue and contra-revenue accounting under ASC 606
- Support resolution of revenue-related accounting issues
- Collaborate with teams to provide guidance on contractual impacts for month-end accounting
- Support US GAAP audits
- Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting
- Support system upgrades and implementations
- Participate in cross-functional projects as needed
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and internal control best practices
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at an intermediate to advanced level
- Strong documentation skills with clarity and conciseness
- Ability to adapt to change and ambiguity
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities
