Revenue Operations & Month-End Close
- Own recurring revenue accounting operational activities across month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and cutoff procedures.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations for revenue-related accounts (deferred revenue, contract assets, contract liabilities, unbilled receivables, AR-to-revenue tie-outs) and resolve reconciling items promptly.
- Prepare deferred revenue roll-forwards and analyses, including movement explanations and tie-outs to billings, collections, and recognized revenue.
- Conduct flux analysis on revenue and related balance sheet accounts, providing clear, well-supported commentary for management.
- Partner with Billing to investigate and resolve invoicing, collections, and revenue mismatches, maintaining a clean order-to-cash data flow.
Reporting & Analysis
- Support internal revenue reporting, including recognized revenue, deferred revenue, billings, and backlog metrics.
- Assist in producing recurring management reporting packages.
- Collaborate with FP&A on revenue forecasting inputs, actual-to-forecast variance analysis, and ad hoc analyses.
- Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from Billing, FP&A, and leadership with accurate, well-organized data.
Controls, Systems & Process Improvement
- Execute and help strengthen revenue-related internal controls (including SOX where applicable), including documentation, evidence retention, and remediation of exceptions.
