Overview
An accountable specialty care management organization focused on improving outcomes for people with complex injuries and diagnoses is seeking an Experienced Sales Commissions Analyst. This remote role supports a high-visibility Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, managing complex commission and bonus analysis with large, disparate data sets. The position requires strong judgment, diligence, and confidence in communicating findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full quarterly and annual commission and bonus calculation process, ensuring timely and accurate completion from data review through final payout
- Administer QuotaPath end-to-end, including commission plan configuration, logic design, and system optimization
- Oversee calculation logic and data feed architecture within QuotaPath, including validation, audit, and reconciliation frameworks
- Assist in administering the annual short-term incentive process in collaboration with Human Resources, Finance, and Accounting
- Maintain and update advanced Excel-based models for incentive compensation calculations, including formula validation, reconciliations, and manual adjustments
- Analyze large volumes of compensation data to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and resolve exceptions at the individual employee level
- Partner with Sales and Finance leadership to review calculation outcomes, explain logic, and address payout questions or special cases
- Drive analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide visibility on enterprise commission investments
- Communicate complex compensation logic, exceptions, and payout outcomes clearly to Sales, Finance, and leadership stakeholders
- Prepare and present finalized compensation results, supporting schedules, and adjustment summaries for review and approval
- Analyze enterprise-wide commission structures and develop recommendations to enhance plan design
- Document assumptions, methodologies, and exception handling to strengthen consistency, auditability, and process reliability
- Align commission processes with commission expense policies and accounting requirements through partnership with Accounting
- Investigate exceptions thoroughly and apply sound analytical judgment to compensation-related adjustments
- Support ad-hoc analysis requests related to commissions from Sales and Sales Operations
- Work independently, adapt to ambiguity, and provide confident recommendations
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational priorities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of experience in Sales Compensation Administration, Revenue Operations, Finance Operations, or similar functions
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, handling large data sets, reconciliations, and navigation of manually built financial models
- Proven hands-on experience building, administering, and maintaining compensation plans in QuotaPath
- Strong experience with compensation analysis, sales incentive compensation, and short-term incentive compensation
- Experience with complex commission structures including curves, holdbacks, and accelerators
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Willingness to learn complex commission structures and processes
- Salesforce fluency
- Ability to partner cross-functionally with senior leaders across Sales, Finance, Accounting, and Sales Operations
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with Oracle EPM/Enterprise Planning
