Senior Strategic Finance Manager

Overview

This role supports the organization’s FP&A processes and strategic finance initiatives. You will partner with cross-functional leadership to evaluate the scale and profitability of new products, M&A, and other strategic investments, while owning key forecasting, planning, and analysis deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A and strategic finance initiatives in partnership with business and executive stakeholders
• Build and maintain financial models for scenarios including:
  • Product expansion
  • Search monetization
  • Marketing ROI
  • Potential acquisitions
• Review, summarize, and communicate financial results
• Drive quarterly forecasting, including:
  • P&L
  • Balance Sheet
  • Cash Flow
• Support annual planning and long-term planning
• Own recurring deliverables such as:
  • Forecast variance analysis
  • User metrics analysis
  • P&L and headcount analyses
• Help scale team processes and improve efficiency by leveraging tools such as AI (e.g., Claude) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau and Grafana)

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategic finance (FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, or consulting)
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling experience, including three-statement forecasts
• Proven ability to own complex, ambiguous analysis end to end and translate outputs into clear metrics
• Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with business partners and collaborating toward organizational objectives
• Instinct for automating recurring analysis, including with AI tools
• Clear, concise writing for senior leadership in a remote, async environment
• North America based
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Dashboard experience: Tableau, Grafana, and Sage Intacct
• Experience in sales finance, GTM, corporate finance, or M&A
• Ad-based/subscription, technology, or public company experience

Compensation & Benefits

• $190,500 to $214,767 USD annually and stock options, or $253,500 to $284,417 CAD annually and stock options
• Compensation is transparent across the organization; team members within the same professional level and global region receive the same compensation
• Eligibility for company-sponsored health benefits is limited to team members based in the United States (not extended to team members located in other countries, such as Canada or the UK)

Location & Work Arrangement

• North America based
• Flexible work arrangement with no core hours; expect an average full-time commitment of 40 hours per week
• Required to attend meetings on camera via video conferencing
• Expect travel at least two times a year:
  • Once for an all-hands meetup
  • Again for a team retreat
  • Each trip is approximately 4–5 days
  • Extenuating circumstances may impact attendance, but participation is strongly encouraged
