Overview

This role involves leading the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) of the organization's recurring revenue base, with a primary focus on Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and billings. The position is an individual contributor role critical to the topline forecasting process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis, review, and reporting of Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), including reconciling ARR to recurring revenue to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team to evaluate actual billings against budget and plan, explaining key variances.
  • Review and validate billings details supporting ARR to confirm accuracy and completeness for forecasting purposes.
  • Support the overall topline forecasting process across revenue and billings.
  • Prepare and present monthly ARR, billings, and recurring revenue results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior business leaders.
  • Analyze Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and Gross Revenue Retention (GRR), partnering with business teams to understand drivers of recurring revenue changes.
  • Serve as a primary FP&A contact for ARR and billings matters, collaborating across Finance, Accounting, and other business units to align reporting and forecasting assumptions.
  • Evaluate and implement process improvements in ARR and billings reporting.
  • Perform various ad hoc analyses as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Prior experience in a similar role focused on billings and recurring revenue, with hands-on expertise in ARR and SaaS/subscription financial metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a range of audiences, including senior leaders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence and work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data for multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Successful completion of background screening including employment verification, criminal search, OFAC, Social Security verification, and credit and drug screening where applicable and in accordance with regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle and Salesforce.
  • Advanced degree in a related field.
