Overview
A fast-growing private cloud company recognized on the 2025 Forbes Cloud 100 list is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst. This role involves partnering strategically with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams to support data-driven financial decision-making across the full P&L. Reporting to the Director of Product Finance, the position offers visibility to the Executive team and influence over growth, pricing, and resource allocation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic finance partner to Product, Engineering, and GTM functions, providing analytical support for business decisions.
- Model financial impacts of strategic initiatives including investment decisions, new product launches, efficiency projects, pricing strategies, and GTM design.
- Track and analyze KPIs across Product and GTM to drive business improvements.
- Support annual planning, monthly forecasting, and variance review cycles in collaboration with leadership.
- Work closely with Accounting to ensure accuracy in revenue recognition, commissions, and expense allocation.
- Prepare financial results and KPI summaries for executive and board reporting.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in data-heavy analytical roles such as FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or management consulting, preferably with SaaS or consumption-based business models.
- Strong intrinsic motivation and bias toward action.
- Proficiency in SQL is required; Python experience is a strong plus.
- Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets, capable of building dynamic, driver-based models independently.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and translating analysis into clear business insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to simplify complex information for senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of accounting principles related to revenue recognition, commissions, and expense processes.
- Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to incorporate them into daily work.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with financial planning and business intelligence tools.
Compensation & Benefits
- Typical starting salary in the United States: $135,000 - $175,000 USD.
- Premium market salary range for locations such as the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area: $150,000 - $195,000 USD.
