Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide essential financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making and improve financial performance. This role collaborates closely with senior leadership and business unit managers to develop financial models, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare detailed financial reports to ensure the organization meets its financial health and business objectives.
Responsibilities
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and performance against budget.
- Analyze revenue, expenses, and profitability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor actual financial performance against forecasts and budgets, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop financial models to support budgeting and forecasting aligned with organizational strategies.
Business Partnership and Strategy Support
- Collaborate with senior leadership and business units to provide financial insights and drive performance improvements.
- Participate in strategic planning, supporting decisions related to capital expenditures, cost management, and resource allocation.
- Support pricing, investment, and profitability analyses with data-driven recommendations.
Process Improvement and Efficiency
- Evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Promote automation and best practices to improve timeliness and quality of financial reporting.
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and ensuring adherence to auditing standards.
KPI Monitoring
- Develop, track, and monitor key financial performance indicators.
- Provide actionable insights based on KPI analysis to improve business performance and profitability.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or professional certifications such as CFA or CPA preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and budgeting.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial statement analysis.
- Experience in a corporate finance environment, preferably within a large or growing organization.
