Sr Financial Analyst, FP&A

Overview

A healthcare organization operating a network of over 250 ambulatory surgery centers nationwide is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This remote role supports operational, regional, and corporate leadership by providing strategic financial analysis and insights to drive performance across multiple entities and full profit and loss (P&L) statements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and articulate key financial and operational performance drivers across multi-entity P&Ls
• Partner with surgery center operations teams, regional leadership, corporate departments, and executives to deliver strategic financial insights and decision support
• Build financial models and conduct complex ad hoc analyses supporting divisional, regional, and corporate initiatives
• Proactively identify business challenges, emerging trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable, data-driven recommendations with limited direction
• Exercise independent judgment to evaluate financial and operational issues, prioritize competing demands, and recommend solutions
• Manage ambiguity and shifting priorities while delivering timely, high-quality analysis in a fast-paced environment
• Lead analysis on business drivers, performance trends, and operational efficiencies using internal and external data sources
• Support and influence the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting across divisions and regions
• Perform return on investment (ROI) analysis on capital investments and support strategic growth decision-making
• Analyze distributions, labor performance, and cost structures to identify improvement and cost optimization opportunities
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and operating reviews for divisional and executive leadership
• Contribute to company-wide initiatives including budgeting, rate strategy, labor analytics, and other operational priorities
• Collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex business problems and enhance operational and financial performance
• Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Financial acumen with ability to analyze complex data
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
• High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; background in Finance or Economics preferred
• Three to four years of related experience and/or training, including multi-entity and full P&L experience (preferably in healthcare), or equivalent combination of education and experience
