Overview
This role supports the Investor Relations (IR) function by helping rebuild investor relations processes and shaping how the organization communicates strategy and performance to public markets.
Working closely with the VP of Finance Strategy & Operations, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and the executive team, you will be a senior individual contributor with broad ownership across investor communications and relationships. You will connect insights across the business to explain technical products, evolving business models, and the long-term investment thesis.
Responsibilities
- Lead key workstreams of the quarterly earnings process, including messaging, scripts, questions and answers, data collection and synthesis, and conference call preparation; build repeatable processes with Finance, Legal, and executive leadership.
- Gather insights from research and development, Product, Sales, and other business leaders to explain strategy, technical products, and business model transitions in investor communications and board materials.
- Own relationships with sell-side analysts and the investment community; monitor analyst models and consensus against forecast, and flag gaps or risks to the head of IR and CFO.
- Prepare the CEO, CFO, and other executives for investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows; lead investor calls independently when executives aren’t available, explaining how the business works and answering investor questions.
- Analyze peer and competitor earnings, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, and investor days; maintain benchmarking analyses and provide quantitative and qualitative insights for executive and board discussions.
- Track the shareholder base and recommend investor targeting strategies to expand and maintain key ownership positions.
- Draft and review earnings decks, shareholder letters, fact sheets, and IR website content; partner with Finance, Legal, Communications, and Strategy to keep messaging consistent, accurate, and compliant with disclosure requirements, including Regulation Fair Disclosure (Regulation FD).
- Plan and deliver Investor Day with the head of IR to communicate the long-term story, alongside investor outreach, non-deal roadshows, and corporate access events.
Requirements
- Experience evaluating software businesses from a buy-side or sell-side investment perspective, gained through investing, equity research, investor relations, or a related field.
- Financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to identify business drivers that shape investor expectations.
- Experience producing or analyzing earnings materials and investor presentations, and the ability to explain technical software products, evolving business models, and financial performance clearly in writing and conversation.
- Ability to work directly with senior executives and provide an informed point of view.
- Working knowledge of SEC reporting, Regulation FD, and public company disclosure practices.
- Proficiency with presentation and spreadsheet tools; experience with IR and market data platforms.
- Experience using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve workflows or a willingness to develop that capability.
