Tax Manager

Overview

Tax Managers play a key role on the business tax team, balancing client relationship management with delivery of annual tax products and monthly financial work within expected timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare payroll, tax, and business records and reports
• Prepare corporate and individual tax returns
• Build new and strengthen existing client relationships, demonstrating basic knowledge of clients’ businesses
• Communicate and meet with clients as requested
• Provide recommendations to assist clients with financial or tax needs

Requirements

• 3+ years in a similar role within a public accounting firm
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting highly desired or equivalent work experience
• CPA certification highly desired or ability to attain

Schedule

• Up to 50–60 hours weeks during tax season
• 30–40 hour weeks for the remainder of the year
• Monday–Friday 8a–5p schedule flexed to accommodate personal time and family time
• Part time and seasonal team members are welcomed

• Onsite, hybrid, or remote work arrangements
• 19 office locations including 13 in Wisconsin (Black Earth, Door County, Fort Atkinson, Mauston, Marshfield, Portage, Reedsburg, Sauk City, Sun Prairie, Tomah, Wausau, Wisconsin Dells-Lake Delton) and corporate headquarters in Baraboo
• Additional offices in Phoenix, Goodyear, and Chandler, Arizona; Scottsbluff and Kimball, Nebraska; and Durango, Colorado
