Tax Manager - Baraboo

Overview

Tax Managers play a key role on the business tax team. This position manages client relationships and ensures final annual tax products and monthly financial work are produced and delivered to clients within expected timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
• Prepare corporate and individual tax returns.
• Build new and strengthen existing client relationships by demonstrating basic knowledge of clients’ businesses.
• Communicate with clients as requested, including meetings and providing recommendations to assist clients with financial or tax needs.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a similar role within a public accounting firm.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting highly desired or equivalent work experience.
• CPA certification highly desired or ability to attain.

• CPA certification (highly desired) or ability to attain.
• Accounting degree (highly desired) or equivalent work experience.

Schedule

• Tax season: up to 50–60 hours per week.
• Remainder of the year: 30–40 hours per week.
• Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 8a–5p, with flexibility around personal and family needs.
• Part-time and seasonal team members are welcome.

Location

• Onsite, hybrid, or remote work arrangements are available.
• The employer has office locations including: Black Earth, Door Country, Fort Atkinson, Mauston, Marshfield, Portage, Reedsburg, Sauk City, Sun Prairie, Tomah, Wausau, Wisconsin Dells–Lake Delton, and Baraboo (corporate headquarters), Wisconsin.
• Additional offices in Phoenix, Goodyear, and Chandler, Arizona; Scottsbluff and Kimball, Nebraska; and Durango, Colorado.
