Overview
An established U.S. accounting and business advisory firm founded in 1911 is seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to join their remote team in the United States. This full-time role involves delivering expert international tax solutions and managing a portfolio of multinational clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage and review complex international tax compliance projects for corporations and partnerships.
- Provide sophisticated tax planning and strategic advice on cross-border transactions, tax treaties, transfer pricing, and foreign tax credit calculations.
- Review and prepare foreign information returns, including Forms 1116, 1118, 5471, 5472, 8621, 8858, 8865, 8938, 8992, as well as Forms 3520 and 3520-A.
- Prepare and review U.S. withholding tax forms such as Forms 1042, 1042-S, 1042-T, 8804, and 8805.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of international tax legislation and its implications.
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior tax team members.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on international tax matters.
- Collaborate with assurance, advisory, and risk management departments to deliver integrated client service.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the international tax practice.
Qualifications
- Relevant professional qualification such as CPA, ACA, CTA, or equivalent.
- Substantial experience in public accounting or advisory with a specialization in international tax.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international tax principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience managing client engagements, project timelines, and team performance.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly convey complex technical information.
