Tax Manager - Kimball

Overview

This role is part of the business tax team and focuses on managing client relationships while ensuring final annual tax deliverables and monthly financial work are produced and delivered to clients within expected timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
• Prepare corporate and individual tax returns.
• Build new and strengthen existing client relationships by demonstrating basic knowledge of clients’ businesses.
• Communicate and meet with clients as requested; provide recommendations to assist clients with financial or tax needs.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a similar role within a public accounting firm.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting highly desired or equivalent work experience.
• CPA certification highly desired or ability to attain.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification.

Work Schedule

• During tax season: up to 50–60 hours per week.
• Remainder of the year: 30–40 hours per week.
• Flexibility around a typical Monday–Friday 8a–5p schedule.
• Part-time and seasonal team members are also welcome.

Location

• Multiple office locations, including 13 in Wisconsin (Black Earth, Door County, Fort Atkinson, Mauston, Marshfield, Portage, Reedsburg, Sauk City, Sun Prairie, Tomah, Wausau, Wisconsin Dells–Lake Delton) and corporate headquarters in Baraboo.
• Additional locations in Phoenix, Goodyear, and Chandler, Arizona; Scottsbluff and Kimball, Nebraska; and Durango, Colorado.
