Tax Senior Manager | PCS

Overview

This role involves serving as a Subject Matter Expert within the business unit, providing knowledge sharing and making recommendations on internal department procedures. The position requires identifying business opportunities for clients and the organization, acting as a trusted advisor, and managing client relationships with a focus on industry trends and proactive communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and share knowledge within the business unit
• Recommend improvements to internal department procedures
• Identify business opportunities for clients and the organization
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying issues and conflicts and communicating solution options proactively
• Manage staff on engagement deliverables such as financial statements, tax returns, and work papers
• Perform technical and strategic reviews as part of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control
• Develop new client relationships in partnership with upper management, including participation in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development
• Meet individual cross-service goals
• Manage billing and realization on assigned clients, develop engagement budgets, and explain variances
• Understand clients' Qualified Plan needs, as applicable
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff, providing effective communication and performance feedback
• Foster a team environment and support management decisions to build a positive culture
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting or a related field
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience
• Active CPA or equivalent certification required
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
• Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels, both internally and externally
• Proficient in applicable technology
• Willingness and ability to travel based on business needs
