VC Analyst

Overview

This role is for a VC Analyst focused on connecting directly with investors who back private companies. You will identify active investors, learn their current focus and deal parameters, and introduce them to opportunities that fit.

Work is centered on initiating conversations and converting inbound responses into calls and meetings with founders. The organization is not raising a fund; investors make direct investments into companies. The platform supports pipeline management, research, and follow-up so your time is spent on investor conversations and understanding which investors are ready to commit capital.

You will work directly with the two co-founders and the investor team within an already working process. The organization is flat, providing visibility into how opportunities are screened and how decisions are made.

Responsibilities

• Investor research: Identify who is investing now, including what they back, stage focus, and check size.
• First conversations: Send short, specific outreach messages to family offices, angels, and early-stage funds, and convert replies into calls.
• Investor meetings: Book qualified investors into meetings with founders when the opportunity matches what the investor backs.
• Maintain and grow your investor network: Keep each investor current, qualified, and actively engaged.

Requirements

• Experience working around venture capital as an analyst, scout, at an accelerator, or in a role close to deals.
• Ability to name rounds from this year you found interesting.
• Strong writing skills: craft a short, specific message to a stranger that earns a reply.
• Ability to sustain a high pace without sacrificing quality and to follow a process consistently.
• Solid understanding of round mechanics, including stage, check size, SAFE versus priced, and why an investor might pass.
• Discretion in handling information; do not include any investor names in your application.
• Daily use of AI tools, with clear judgement about where they improve work and where they could compromise quality.

• Base salary plus commission.
