Workday Healthcare Financial Implementation Consultant

Overview

This role is part of a Healthcare Financials functional consulting team and focuses on delivering financial implementation solutions to healthcare organizations.

As a Financial Implementation Consultant, you will work with customers throughout the deployment lifecycle, address complex operational challenges, and design solutions within the Workday Financial Management system to help transform how health systems operate.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and help maintain healthcare standard practices to reflect new industry requirements and trends
• Determine customer requirements and design and build tailored Workday financial solutions
• Demonstrate designed solutions to key stakeholders throughout the deployment lifecycle while guiding and supporting customer testing
• Participate in updated training and other events to share product and industry skills with other consultants
• Partner with project management by providing status reports and keeping them informed of overall project status
• Participate in customer prospect discovery sessions
• Mentor less experienced consultants

Requirements

Basic Qualifications (P4 – Senior Consultant)

• 5+ years of implementation or functional experience with Workday Financial Management software solutions
• 5+ years of consulting experience
• Experience with General Ledger along with one or more of the following:
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Asset Management
  • Expense Management
  • Cash Management
  • Capital Projects

Basic Qualifications (P5 – Principal Consultant)

• 7+ years of implementation or functional experience with Workday Financial Management software solutions
• 7+ years of consulting experience
• Experience with General Ledger along with one or more of the following:
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Asset Management
  • Expense Management
  • Cash Management
  • Capital Projects

Other Qualifications

• 5+ years of financial consulting experience with at least 2 healthcare industry implementations OR 5+ years of financial or accounting operational experience in healthcare organizations
• Experience leading the Workday Foundation Data Model (FDM) design and at least 2 other Workday financial areas during a project deployment is preferred
• Passion for customer service and project management experience
• Workday Accounting Center experience is a plus
• Ability to connect with all levels of customer/prospect leadership
• Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
• Passion for using AI technology to improve efficiency and streamline deployments
• Experience guiding customers through AI adoption is a plus
• Experience with multiple financial applications
• Ability to balance multiple project engagements at a time
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience—preferably in Finance or Accounting
• Some travel is required (up to 30% annually). Travel tends to come in concentrated stretches at certain times of year.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading the Workday Foundation Data Model (FDM) design and at least 2 other Workday financial areas during a project deployment
• Workday Accounting Center experience
• Experience guiding customers through AI adoption

• Primary Location: USA.TX.Home Office
  • Primary Location Base Pay Range: $140,300 USD - $210,500 USD
• Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $133,300 USD - $236,900 USD

Additional Considerations:

• If performed in Colorado, the pay range for this job is $140,300 - $210,500 USD based on min and max pay range for that role if performed in CO.

• This role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.

• Compensation offers are based on multiple factors including geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.

• Some travel is required (up to 30% annually).

Flexible Work (Flex Work): spend at least half (50%) of your time each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role).
