Workday Payroll Lead

Overview

An organization is seeking an experienced Workday Payroll professional to lead and support a Workday US Payroll implementation initiative. This role requires strong functional expertise in Workday Payroll, hands-on implementation experience, and the ability to manage end-to-end payroll deployment activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Workday US Payroll solutions from planning through deployment.
• Manage end-to-end payroll process design, configuration, testing, and execution within Workday.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, business users, and technical teams to gather requirements and ensure successful delivery.
• Provide strategic guidance and best practices for Workday Payroll implementation.
• Support system integration, validation, troubleshooting, and post-go-live activities.
• Ensure project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met.
• Utilize Launch Express / Launch methodologies to streamline implementation processes.

Required Qualifications

• Certified in Workday US Payroll (current or previous certification).
• Minimum of 4 full-cycle Workday Payroll implementations completed as a Lead Consultant.
• Strong understanding of payroll process planning and execution within Workday.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll configuration and deployment activities.
• Experience with Workday Launch Express / Launch methodology is required.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced implementation environments.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional and remote teams.
