Accounting Manager

Overview

An organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager with a strong background in financial management, leadership, and process improvement. This role supports accurate and efficient financial operations while contributing to the continued growth and success of the team.

Responsibilities

• Support management of the accounting team by fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
• Oversee and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP standards
• Analyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and opportunities
• Lead account reconciliations for balance sheet and financial reporting
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
• Develop and monitor key performance and quality metrics
• Partner with internal stakeholders and analytics teams to optimize reporting and processes
• Contribute to team development through coaching, training, and engagement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong analytical responsibilities
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing or mentoring team members
• Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and forecasting
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and financial systems

Preferred Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in healthcare or corporate accounting
• CPA or MBA
• Experience with process improvement methodologies

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: USD $87,854.50 - USD $131,781.75 per year
