- Team Supervision & Review: Manage, coach, and review the work of an internal Bookkeeper; audit daily bookkeeping for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and set clear operational guidelines.
- E-Commerce & DTC Reconciliations: Manage specialized, high-volume e-commerce workflows, including reconciliation of inventory tracking, COGS, Shopify sales loops, and payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
- Month-End Close & Reporting: Own the end-to-end month-end close to deliver timely, accurate GAAP financial statements broken down by entity, individual brand, and consolidated group performance.
- AI-Driven Automation: Use modern AI engineering tools to build dynamic financial dashboards, optimize reporting speeds, and automate data pipelines across systems.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, including success managing accounting for a parent company with multiple legal entities and hands-on experience in the DTC/e-commerce sector.
- People Management: Experience managing, training, and reviewing the daily work of a Bookkeeper or Junior Accountant.
- Technical & AI Skills: Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel/Google Sheets; demonstrated practical experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to improve processes and build workflows.
- Core Accounting Competence: Deep familiarity with multi-state sales tax nexus, intercompany eliminations, landing costs, and multi-warehouse inventory valuations.
