Billing Associate

Overview

This role involves creating accurate client installment and audit invoices according to lines of business, recording revenue accurately by client and location, and analyzing revenue versus budget variances.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate installment and per-claim invoices for assigned clients; properly allocate revenue to the appropriate clients and company locations.
• Generate and maintain department spreadsheets.
• Maintain a system of Recurring Journal Entries to accurately defer annual, semi-annual, and quarterly revenue.
• Key journal entries for accounting staff.
• Maintain client billing files with current billing instructions and contracts.
• Prepare monthly revenue versus budget variance reports.

Additional Duties

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support the organization’s quality program(s).

Qualifications

Education & Licensing

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience

• Two (2) years of billing or related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Skills & Knowledge

• Knowledge of general accounting practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• Proficiency with PC tools, including Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
