Overview

A Federal Pricing Analyst position is available in Arlington, VA, with the potential to work from any U.S. office of the organization. This role supports the development and implementation of pricing strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risk under U.S. Government contracts. The analyst will be part of the Federal Contracts/Compliance Team, managing and administering government contracts in compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency supplements.

Responsibilities

  • Research and provide data to support government solicitation requirements.
  • Assist in developing cost and pricing exhibits for compliant and responsive proposal submissions.
  • Lead cost volume content development for client solicitations, contract modifications, equitable adjustments, and terminations.
  • Develop and communicate pricing requirements during cost proposal development.
  • Build and populate pricing templates, coordinating with Operations, Procurement, and external sources.
  • Develop, communicate, and execute pricing strategies within proposals.
  • Assist in obtaining and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Coordinate pricing reviews with Contracts, Senior Leadership, and other departments.
  • Perform cost, price, and profitability analyses on federal contracts.
  • Provide pricing compliance training and communicate company pricing policies to finance, accounting, and operations personnel.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvements in pricing methodologies, templates, and skills.
  • Prepare and review cost estimates, ensuring prevailing wage cost rates are applied where applicable.
  • Interface with U.S. government and commercial personnel on pricing inquiries and negotiations.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in federal pricing for U.S. Government contracts with a proven track record in pricing strategy development and implementation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities to engage multiple departments and senior leadership.
  • Ability to handle complex, non-routine requests and demands.
  • General knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and agency FAR supplements, including federal contract cost principles, prevailing wage requirements, cost analysis, and price negotiations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with advanced computer skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under time-pressured deadlines.
  • High ethical standards, confidence, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Expected salary range (all locations): $67,900 - $105,900
  • Expected salary range (Colorado only): $67,900 - $109,300

The salary offered will depend on education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and geographic location. Additional benefits and compensation may be provided based on circumstances unrelated to protected status.
