Financial Analyst

Overview

This role involves evaluating financial information and providing practical analysis to support planning, forecasting, and business decisions. The position is remote within the United States and is designed for someone who can work carefully with information, communicate clearly, and keep analytical work organized from initial review through final delivery.

Quality and consistency matter throughout the process. You’ll approach recurring tasks with consistency while also recognizing when additional investigation is needed. Strong judgment, careful validation, and concise communication help ensure your work supports practical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain spreadsheet models used for planning and scenario analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with organized analysis and documentation.
• Prepare recurring financial reports and explain material variances or emerging trends.
• Present financial findings in concise language that business stakeholders can act on.
• Review source data for completeness and investigate inconsistencies before reporting.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, budgets, forecasts, and other financial information.

Requirements

• Strong quantitative reasoning and financial-analysis skills.
• Clear written communication and dependable remote collaboration.
• Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to organize detailed work while meeting recurring deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort working with financial datasets.
