Overview

A financial services organization is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to join their Division Accounting Team. This role focuses on improving accounting processes, working with large datasets, and driving automation to modernize workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance data accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting function
  • Analyze and convert manual processes into automated, data-driven solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data analysis, reporting, and process optimization initiatives
  • Develop and maintain management reports, dashboards, and supporting documentation
  • Work with large datasets to deliver actionable insights and support decision-making
  • Document existing workflows and recommend improvements
  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Analytics preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven ability to analyze and work with large, complex datasets
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong technical skills including:
    • Advanced Excel and T-SQL (required)
    • Python, Power BI, and Snowflake (preferred)
  • Experience with accounting systems such as Lawson is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $79,900 - $133,200 base, plus eligibility for an annual bonus program
  • Flexible full-time or hybrid telecommuting arrangements

Work Authorization & Remote Requirements
