Insurance Auditor

Overview

This full-time Insurance Auditor role is based in Chicago, IL. The position involves delivering accurate, high-quality audit services through a mix of on-site and virtual work, while maintaining organized client scheduling and professional communication.

The role offers flexible scheduling with full-time options working either 8 am–5 pm or 7 am–4 pm, Monday through Friday.

Compensation: $42,000–$55,000 yearly.

Responsibilities

• Start the workday by dispatching directly from home.
• Organize client appointments and maintain a structured schedule.
• Conduct both on-site and virtual audits.
• Thoroughly review payroll data, financial records, and operational documents.
• Evaluate information to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Apply critical thinking to every audit report completed.
• Prepare clear, organized audit documentation that supports clients and internal teams, ensuring professional standards are met.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with technology, computers, video conference software, and Microsoft-based programs.
• Professional attitude and effective verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, stay organized, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Self-starter mindset with resourceful problem-solving skills and a drive to meet targets.
• Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screening test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) in a subject like accounting, mathematics, education, marketing, or business (education is weighted more than experience).
• Accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, financial analysis, or premium audit experience.
• Experience as a loan officer or office manager.
