Junior Accountant - Remote within Central and Eastern time zones

Overview

This role is on the revenue/cash team within a care delivery organization that provides medical services in a clinic setting. Responsibilities focus on calculating, analyzing, tracking/reporting, and recording revenue and AR/cash activity.

Remote work flexibility is available if you are located within only Central and Eastern time zones (subject to applicable requirements).

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports
• Reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month-end close
• Prepare journal entries and review accounting classifications in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
• Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits
• Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis, and investigate issues by providing explanations and interpretation
• Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position
• Assist with or lead the month-end and quarterly-end close process for assigned businesses or groups
• Perform work in a self-directed manner and handle less structured, more complex issues
• Serve as a resource to others

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• 1+ years of professional accounting experience
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
• Proven ability to identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
• Proven ability to solve moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analyses
• Live within Central or Eastern Time Zones
• All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to the Telecommuter Policy

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $60,200 - $107,400 annually (based on full-time employment)
• Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
• Benefits may include a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits subject to eligibility requirements)
• Salary and benefits are subject to applicable minimum wage laws
