Overview

This individual contributor role supports the development, execution, and documentation of the organization’s global tax strategy. The position partners with the global tax department, corporate functions, and operating company teams, with a focus on global tax planning, M&A, cross-border structuring, transfer pricing, cash management, and legal entity initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Co-develop and assist global tax efforts in support of the organization’s global strategies, working directly with senior tax leadership
  • Initiate and facilitate rationalization efforts
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to operating companies, interacting with designated contacts regarding tax compliance, tax benefits and risks, and the relationship between operational decisions and tax impacts
  • Support M&A due diligence, pre- and post-transaction structuring, and financing
  • Support transfer pricing initiatives, operating model design, value chain transformation initiatives, and controversy matters
  • Support global cash management initiatives, including intercompany cash flows, cash repatriation, intercompany loans, and other transactions identified in partnership with the treasury team
  • Interface with external business partners and tax advisors to execute due diligence and transaction planning; assess potential impacts and advise senior tax management on implications and countermeasures
  • Manage establishment or elimination of legal entities, including maintenance plans and associated supporting documentation
  • Manage external advisory support, budgets, and timely accruals
  • Propose process improvements, including expanding the use of technology and automation to eliminate waste and improve efficiency
  • Support compliance with and refinement of established tax policies and procedures as outlined in the company’s tax manual and related interacting policies (including business change management policy)

Requirements (Essential)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA and/or JD
  • At least 6 years of cross-border structuring experience involving U.S. and international tax rules and global tax planning concepts
  • Experience operating in a complex global enterprise and/or advising complex global enterprises through a major accounting or law firm
  • Working knowledge of US tax principles and US tax accounting (current and deferred tax) rules pursuant to ASC740
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

  • M&A tax experience, including due diligence and pre-acquisition or post-acquisition planning
  • Transfer pricing, supply chain planning, or value chain transformation exposure
  • Financing structuring or global cash management experience
  • Master’s degree in Tax, an MBA, or another relevant advanced degree
  • Experience with tax technology, automation, or transformation solutions such as Alteryx

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation range (US Only): $135,000 - $155,000 USD per year
  • Eligible for Bonus Pay
  • Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Remote-friendly role with preference for candidates located in Eastern or Central time zones
  • Hybrid option with required presence at headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts
  • Travel: Periodic domestic and international travel anticipated to be on a quarterly basis
