Overview
A professional services firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join their National Tax team. This is a remote position, with occasional requirements to attend office locations for client work, team meetings, or training sessions. The role supports the broader tax practice and involves collaboration, thought leadership, and client-focused results.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage global corporate tax compliance and consulting engagements for U.S.-based and foreign-owned enterprises
- Review and sign U.S. Corporate income tax returns
- Advise and consult on corporate tax planning and risk mitigation
- Oversee engagement economics including budgeting, billing, and cash collection
- Research tax issues and filing requirements affecting tax compliance
- Review tax returns for accuracy and completeness
- Research complex tax issues using Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, and other relevant authorities
- Draft tax technical memorandums
- Identify opportunities to expand engagement scope based on client needs
- Participate in business development initiatives, thought leadership, and firm-wide priority pursuits
- Provide regular performance feedback and timely performance evaluations
- Develop subordinates' technical and industry skills and encourage growth
- Demonstrate initiative, vision, resourcefulness, creativity, and independent thinking
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in public accounting
- Extensive corporate tax experience leading and reviewing 1120 C Corporation returns (separate and consolidated) and corporate tax provisions (e.g., ASC 740)
- Experience with inbound and outbound C corporations with cross-border activity
- Ability to collaborate across National Tax Groups on complex matters
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD or LLM is a plus
- CPA licensure required
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Proven experience managing complex corporate tax engagements and client relationships
- Experience mentoring and developing staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and tax compliance and research tools such as CCH, GoSystems, OneSource, Bloomberg
- Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)

Remote position with potential occasional office presence as required. Most professionals are located within commutable distance to an office, but this role does not require proximity to an office location.
