NetSuite Consultant (FSM)

Overview

This part-time Day shift (10AM–4PM Manila Time) role involves joining the organization’s MSP practice as an experienced NetSuite Financial Management (FSM) Consultant.

In this position, you will serve as a functional advisor to managed clients by leading financial process optimization projects, troubleshooting complex financial workflows, and expanding clients’ use of NetSuite financial modules. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals and deep NetSuite functional expertise across standard and advanced financial areas, including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Advanced Revenue Management, Multi-Book Accounting, and OneWorld.

Responsibilities

• Client support & optimization

  • Serve as a functional subject matter expert for MSP clients.
  • Resolve elevated support tickets.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and recommend tailored NetSuite optimizations.

• Financial module implementation

  • Design, configure, and implement NetSuite financial modules, including:
    • General Ledger
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Fixed Asset Management (FAM)
    • Advanced Revenue Management (ARM)
    • Multi-Book
    • Consolidated Financial Reporting

• Requirements gathering & solution design

  • Conduct business process reviews with client finance leadership (CFOs, Controllers, Accounting Managers).
  • Translate business requirements into efficient NetSuite architecture.

• Reporting & analytics

  • Build custom financial reports and layouts using Financial Report Builder.
  • Create Saved Searches.
  • Develop SuiteAnalytics Workbooks and executive dashboards aligned to client KPI requirements.

• System integrations & automations

  • Work with technical developers to define functional specifications for financial integrations (e.g., banking feeds, payment gateways, expense management platforms).
  • Support custom SuiteScripts or workflow design.

• Testing & training

  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Provide user training.
  • Create documentation for custom financial processes and enhancement rollouts.

• Period close & compliance

  • Assist with month-end/year-end close optimization.
  • Support intercompany eliminations, currency revaluations, and audit trail compliance in NetSuite OneWorld environments.

Requirements

• Experience

  • 3+ years of direct hands-on experience consulting on or administering NetSuite Financials (FSM).
  • MSP or multi-client consulting background strongly preferred.

• Accounting & process knowledge

  • Deep understanding of core financial accounting workflows, including:
    • Order-to-Cash
    • Procure-to-Pay
    • Record-to-Report
    • Revenue Recognition
    • Fixed Assets
    • Intercompany Management

• Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems (MIS), or equivalent practical experience.

• Certifications (highly desirable)

  • NetSuite Financial User, NetSuite ERP Consultant, or NetSuite Administrator certification.

• Technical skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Saved Searches, Financial Report Builder, CSV Data Imports, and functional Workflow design.

• Communication

  • Strong consultative mindset and client-facing presence.
  • Ability to explain complex functional concepts to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite OneWorld multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation.
• Familiarity with third-party NetSuite ecosystem SuiteApps (e.g., SuiteSync, Celigo, Tipalti, Avalara, BlackLine).
• CPA license or formal accounting background.
