Overview

This Payroll Specialist role supports travel-industry talent and business operations for a large tourism distribution organization across recruiting, administration, service, finance, and commercial teams. The position focuses on keeping accurate financial records, reconciliation, exception handling, and audit-ready documentation dependable and easy to verify. Work emphasizes document review, payment tracking, and bookkeeping, with follow-up discipline, traceable customer history, and high-quality handoffs to the next authorized teammate.

Responsibilities

  • Track unresolved financial exceptions for the payroll workflow and keep follow-up discipline explicit using payroll, financial records, and approval tracking.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for the payroll workflow using deadline management, process compliance, and audit support.
  • Protect confidential financial information using billing, approval tracking, and data accuracy to support clean handoffs.
  • Review financial inputs against supporting records using variance analysis, audit support, and document review.
  • Reconcile discrepancies before reporting or processing using invoice review, data accuracy, and record maintenance.

Success Standard

Strong performance means accurate financial records, reconciliation, exception handling, and audit-ready documentation remain trustworthy within the payroll workflow. Accounts payable, process compliance, and audit support should reinforce follow-up discipline, customer history, and handoff quality. Unresolved items must retain an owner and be verifiable by another authorized teammate without reconstructing the work’s history.

Required Capabilities

  • Use exception resolution, record maintenance, and financial reporting confidently to support follow-up discipline.
  • Apply variance analysis with transaction review and document review so follow-up discipline and handoff quality remain visible.
  • Document approval tracking decisions alongside data accuracy and process compliance so customer history stays traceable.
  • Use sound judgment around accounts receivable, billing, and audit support, escalating when the workflow requires it rather than using assumptions.
