Overview
A growing global SaaS organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Finance team. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is ideal for a technically strong, dependable accounting professional eager to take on increasing responsibility and help scale financial operations. This is an individual contributor position with a clear pathway to future management.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end revenue accounting and related reconciliations
- Review sales tax calculations using Avalara and reconcile discrepancies
- Assist with monthly consolidation of international subsidiaries
- Support monthly financial statement preparation, including investor financial reporting packages
- Provide audit support for US and UK audits
- Assist with state and local tax and registration matters
- Prepare monthly payroll accruals
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
- Support the continued growth and scalability of finance operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or auditing roles
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Experience with general ledger accounting software
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience supporting external audit processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SaaS or subscription revenue recognition
- Familiarity with sales tax software such as Avalara
- Exposure to UK entity consolidations
- CPA certification or public accounting background is highly desirable

Success Milestones
First Quarter:
- Define responsibilities with CFO and begin independent ownership
- Learn and complete assigned tasks timely
- Demonstrate competency across assigned areas
First Year:
- Consistently deliver accurate work
- Actively contribute to audit processes
- Identify and implement technology and process improvements
- Expand sales tax compliance projects including Stripe and VAT
- Identify efficiencies, automation, and control improvements
0–3 Years:
- Lead or participate in internal control improvements
- Drive systems and process upgrades
- Take expanded ownership of audit and accounting functions
- Position for future Accounting Manager role
